What does a flashing power light mean on a Halstead Ace High, please.

It is not mentioned in the manual.

Just sometimes when CH goes to fire it gives another click and the power light flashes.
Turning on the DHW 'resets' the boiler until it does it again.

Does it ever do it in hot water mode?

It's failing to detect water circulation.

Could be.....

System pressure low....is it around 1 bar cold pressure

Weak pump

Blocked /boiler system

Iffy pressure differential diaphragm

Maybe flat or low pressure expansion vessel

etc etc

Start by checking the pin on top of the diverter rises and operates the microswitch when the pump is running.

Still not cured.

I have determined that it happens after the boiler has shut down because of internal temperature control - CH still called for.

Then when it goes to turn on after cooling -
Primary flow switch closes, air switch closes, burner ignites then it switches off (not sure which part) and led flashes.

Reset by turning on the DHW. Water always works.

Also, in the fault finding flow chart there is reference to 'primary flow switch' and 'water pressure switch'.
Are these the same part?
If not, where is WPS?
If so the manual is very poorly written.

Sounds to me like an ignition lockout.

And I suspect I know why, but we don't give DIYers advice on these aspects.

Can you please tell some of my local plumbers/heating engineers?

Have had two to no avail.
