Hi Guys,
I had a Halstead ace he35 combi boiler fitted yesterday and noticed this morning when I use the cold tap, the boiler fires up for about 30 secs. I never had this with my old boiler and was wondering if this is not right?
Any help would be appreciated.
They didnt move it to another location so nothing has changed pipework wise as it were.
Thanks

Probably a dead leg.

A person who knows more than me will advise you what to do because I am not 100% sure.

Run all the taps both hot and cold and found trapped air in the en suite bedroom shower.
Checked again after, looks like that was the problem so I guess it would have sorted itself out.
Thanks anyway, saved me a phone call to the fitters.

I can never understand any installers not removing all air out of the pipe work before they leave

But then they did fit a Halstead

on a side note is it fitted in a cupboard?

the comp vent sizes on halsteads are mental

Stick a non-return valve on the cold water inlet to the boiler.
