Hello,

The pressure on my boiler keeps going down gradually and I have to top it up every month or two.

Is this likely to be a leak? And where should I be checking as I can't seem to find any water or leaks......

I've attached some pictures here which may help. It is a Vokera boiler and is in the kitchen:

I top up the pressure in the cupboard in the hallway (directly behind where the boiler is). The pipes from here run up and over to the other side of the hallway:

...and down into the other cupboard:

Any help or advice would be greatly appreciated.

fill boiler to 1.5 bar and run ch and dhw what rise in pressure is there

if it goes above 3 bar, the PRV will lift dumping water outside

therby creating a sort of leak ;)

if it does this your expansion vessel is dead or needs recharged

see FAQS at top of page

When I top the boiler up and turn on both the heating and the water it only rises between 0.1 - 0.4 bar..... never gets near 3.

It seems to lose about this same amount of over a period of 1-2 months roughly.

I only ever have the water on for a few hours in the morning.

The heating itself is never on during the summer months and on for a few hours in the morning and evening in the winter months.
