Hi all,

I got a boiler problem.

I use ideal HE15 and I turn off this boiler during the summary time (about three monthes). Now the boiler can not fire.

It is strange that there is no problem with hot water.

I use Drayton digistat rf1 to control the temperature to trigger the heating. Both the Drayton transmitter and receiver is no problem.

I use Honeywell to control the time of heathing and hot water. Since hot water is normal, Honecywell should work well.

Could someone help me to identify the problem?

Thank you very much

That's great.

Thanks a lot.

Could you tell me what is the correct status and what is the wrong status, i.e., how to identify whether it works normally or not?

Thank you very much.

if its a zone valve and the pipes are hot both sides its open

if a 3 port the bottom is the inlet(ab) port a is heating b is water

usually when the valve ia open the man lever goes slack as well

Thanks a lot for the reply.

I do find a 3 port valve and A is heating B is hot water. The pipe for hot water is hot whereas for the heating is cold when both the heating and hot water are operated.

Could I get a conclusion that the valve has a problem?

If I ask a boiler worker to change the valve, in general how much I need to pay?

Thanks a lot for your help.

there is usually a manual lever to lock the valve mid position

if the valve is ok you only need to change the actuator head

depending on the valve it's easy enough :D

Thank you very much for the reply and sorry for the late reply.

I do the test as you said however the heathing still does not work.

Could anyone tell me in general how much I need to pay to fix this problem?

Is there any recommendation for boiler repairer? I live at Windsor

Thanks a lot

Are you sure the receiver clicks and the green light comes on?

The wireless room thermostats are notorious for causing problems like this.

Yes, I check the receiver part of the wireless temperature. The green light is OK when the heating conditions is satisfied. (unless the light indicator does not work as well)

There should be an audible "click" when the green light comes on,if not it may not be switching.
You need to listen carefully, while someone else raises and lowers the temperature on the room stat.

Thanks a lot.

do the test.

Do not hear the "click" however the green light do turn on when the temperature setting is increased

Then I thinks you need a new wireless stat.

I can give you instructions how to link out the receiver so you can get temporary heating.
