boiler will not light on when reset

I have a vokera mynute 20e boiler that has just started to play up ie when it is required to switch on and light from programmer it is now not firing up and going to reset. When i manually reset it fires up most times , anybody any ideas. I know i will need to get an engineer out but i would like to get an idea of fault be someone trys to tell me i need a new boiler.
