Boilers-how they work?

are there are links anyone could offer me to webpages that show details about how boilers work/the integral parts/why things go wrong, etc? I really want to learn about boilers, especially gas boilers, but don't really know where to start! i'm not going to start playing with my boiler, lol! i just am curious how they work and want to learn!! thanks for any help all.

spend 50 quid n go on a combi apprecation course well worth it covers most types of systems with a good back ground knowledge
 
FFS he doesn`t even know what colour wires go to a pump what chance has he of understanding a normal boiler let alone a combi :eek: ,
Personally i think he is a wind up merchant or on second thoughts is that hope he is

Most boiler instructions have a sequence of events listed in them. Go to several manufacturers websites and read them. Inside out , back to front, upside down and through a sequence of mirrors. Then you will know the basics.
