Bosch dishwasher drain problem -pump impellers

Hello All

As title, Bosch dishwasher has stopped draining properly.

Have removed the filters & the little cover to check the pump. While i can get the impellers to turn, they meet with quite abit of resistance.

Is this normal or, should they spin pretty freely?

Scap all i've said - just found a small elastic band, caught around the motor & stopping it from turning freely.

Wheres those kids !
