Bosch Dishwasher not filling - running out of ideas

I have a Bosch SMS5032GB/11 Dishwasher >10 yrs old. Have recently replaced drainage pump successfully but now the water will not fill - it did work a couple of times before this current fault. Have checked float and water inlet filter - all OK. Have tried banging inside left to shift the float if stuck.

Can't really afford to replace it so is there anything else I can check before spending money on it? Grateful for any help on this one.

is the inlet valve solenoid ok, you need a multimeter to check or mains tester, cant remember on this model if inlet valve also has diagphram unit on top, if it does you need to turn off water, remove fill hose from appliance to relieve pressure,then remove small hose from diagphram, refit all and it should work. hope this helps rgds gary
