My neighbours and I both want to extend our semi-detached houses on the non-adjoined side to our shared boundary on the ground floor. However, we are concerned that the value of our houses could go down if they became joined, because they might then be classified as terraced. Our adjoined neighbours on both sides could be affected too, if their houses ended up being classified as end-of-terraces. Our adjoined garages are already joined together at the boundary, so there is a terraced appearance at the front already, to a certain extent. Should we be worried about our ground floor side and rear extensions joining our houses together behind our garages?
