As part of a garage conversion I am looking to box in a gas meter, and the in and out pipes
I believe the regulations (BS6891:2005) say that if the volume being enclosed is less than 0.1 cubic metre, then no ventilation is required, and if it is over, there are specifics about size and separation of vent holes.
The meter cupboard will be well ventilated. The pipes themselves are very low in volume, maybe 0.005 m^3.
Can someone confirm this exemption
Then can I count the pipes as a separate job, and not ventilate because they are under the limit, or do I have to count them in with the meter boxing itself which might take the total volume over?
