Have been contacted by a customer I have done some work for before, they want me to box in two water pipes and a gas pipe that runs along the length of a wall just above floor level.

This is in their entertainment room at a public swimming pool.

The boxing in will also serve an seating.

Apart from the boxing in needing to be very sturdy, anything else I should be thinking about?

Ventilation of Gas Pipes in Ducts. Problematic. (to minimise build-ups of 'explosive range' gas)

DH

Edit, not ventilation of the actual pipe carrying the gas you understand….

So if its going to be seating....

At some point (both ends) make the front panel removable and put ventilation grills in the doors.

In fact - you could always make it so that the front has removable doors so it can be used for storage.

If the seat on top is removeable you could make the access from the top by making lift out boards from MDF. It could also double as storage. You must make sure its vented as previously advised.
