Hi all, Happy New Year!

I want to box in my toilet cistern but it has a side arm flushing lever not a front arm, naturally this means that i need to be able to extend the handle forward of the cistern some how.
The side handle is attached to a pin, Does anyone know if it is poss to extend it forward somehow with some kind of spindle or if a local pumbers mercahnts sell some kind of conversion device to bring the lever foward of the cistern,

P.S this is one of the wifes's New Year tasks for me

Thanks in advance

You may be able to swap the syphon in the cistern for a cable operated drop valve, routing the cable through the hole where the side arm used to be, and mounting the push button in an appropriate place.

Leave yourself a way of getting at the drop valve for when it does jam or start leaking!
