Brand new dishwasher will just not pump out

Hello Everyone. I just don't understand it. I've plumbed in my new Bosh dishwasher to the letter; the drainage hose is raised 850mm above floor level and graduates on a slight downward slope to a connector on the sink's peatrap. After 3 trial pre-washes the bottom of the dishwasher is in about 25mm of water. Had the hose off to check it and water is coming through, the filters have been out and are clear. This washer has had no pots in it yet so no debris in the filter or packaging.

Totally flummoxed! Any help appreciated. (I see this is a common question!).

try again, but put the hose into the sink, if it empties you may have a blockage on your spiggot (where the hose was) and put a bucket under the spiggot

Thank you sooooo much Breezer! The spiggot was facing away from me and it seems it was blanked off. Doh! Anyway, what do you expect from a girlie... Thanks again. Case closed. xx
