hi all, is there a software available to help design brickwalls?
something i could type the height and length of the wall in, choose a brickwork pattern; and out comes a scaled down illustration of the design? anyone know of any?

Its a genuine post; Im just not a experianced bricky.
A software like this would be excellent for someone like me, if i can get it to design a real scaled down illustration i would know on what course i need to do what cuts. Walls like a english garden wall with a course of 20mm overhang on every forth course and a sloped top and with a tied in pier would beacome easy to do. obvioiusly i wouldnt expect to use it for ever but it would be good untill i picked up experience, no....?

WTF

If you need software to tell you:

- what course you need cuts on (there should be no cuts)

- or that you put an oversail on every fourth course (err every fourth course)

- ties for a pier (every other course)

then you have bigger problems to address which Bill Gates just can't help with

TEDDS or CADS Wall Panel Designer.. or you might be able to get a copy of BRCs plain panel designer but its a little bugged..

Course those are all structural tools for designing panels against wind.. will not give coursing/bonds etc or any pretty pics.. so no real help :p

Judgeing by your post i doubt even the most eminant specialist for the mentally handicapped could help you mate  theres no need to be belligerent.

Im talking about about feature walls using different couloured bricks; that are 30course high and slope down to 15courses. im my opinion it would help me, but like i said im not a highly experianced bricklayer.

Have you searched through the previous threads on the Forum? I'm sure you'll find what you're looking for.

Ive tried the link you provided but no those are more for designing the layout of houses etc. Im looking for a more brickwork design specific software. freddy I dont understand why this was so poignant for you that you displayed such emotions in your previous post.
please explain?
