I agree it is a crime, but it isn't an intent to cause harm.... if you carry a gun... what you gonna do with it? shoot the top off your stella bottle? you have a very limited number of things you can do with a gun....
Whereas... IMO .. most people who drink and drive are simply trying to get from A to B. They aren't out to harm anyone.... although i think they are much more likely to do so. So still lock 'em up for a long time... put put them at the back of the queue for death-row!
