I need to move my main BT cable coming into my house as im building a porch and the cable runs down the wall where the lead flashing will be. I've opened the main telephone port in my house and there is only 2 wires connected. Orange and White going to terminals 2 and 5. There are a grenn black and what looks like 3 yellows all just snipped off doing nothing, is this normal?

yes that is normal for a single domestic line. the others are not used

Ok thanks for the help, just as long as i now know there was only meant to be the 2 wired in.
