a lot of upvc window manufacturers supply and fit car ports with brochures and prices to substantiate this. it may be worth a call to your local window company.

I built car port 12 years ago at my house ( still ok) I used 2x4 for rafters sawn , this is 12ft wide. Also 2x2 cross supports lenghtways
I used brick pillers to match house, on a concrete base, 1 brick square.
The car port is 12 foot by around 25 foot. It is roofed by 12 foot pvc corrugated panels ,which get a bit dirty.
Cost? I forget, but it look better than the stuff that the mercahnts sell in the colour supplements
They need massive mark ups to pay commission and for adverts. The actual goods are worth a fraction of the price you pay.
