Building Regs re SE & HE Combi Boilers

I should start by saying, this is for an installation in Scotland (i think the regs maybe slightly different up here?)

Is it still permissable to install an SE Combi, rather than an HE Combi?

& is there a minimum clearance between the flue on a HE Combi & a window?

Think the regs are/were slightly different but now amount to the same. The would have to get an exemption certificate.

300mm from an opening window, but other considerations must be taken into account for flue positioning as well.
