I want to run a 2.5 mm squared cable for ring main in a plastered over channel below a radiator. The radiator pipes are surface clipped. Is there any required minimum separation? Steve.

It should be 50 mm deep to avoid mechanical damage if possible. There's no minimum but if the pipes are heating the cable you will need to allow for the ambient temperature and so the cable may need to be larger mm squared.

Is it ran in a safe zone?

You know it's there but if you sold the house the new owner(s) wouldn't.

Thanks for the reply. I will put a double socket at the same height as the cable run in order to define the safe zone. The cable should not get heated (well maybe a little) by the radiator pipes as they are clipped to the plaster surface. Steve.
