What are the restrictions around running ring main 2.5 mm cable next to central heating pipes - copper and plastic.

I'm particularly thinking about cables under floors next to heating pipes, and running up inside stud and plasterboard walls.

TIA

If you are planning on running your cables in notches out the top of joists, then this is not allowed pipes or no pipes*.

I an not aware of any specific spacing between pies and cables, but it should be far enough so the cable cannot be damaged by the heat of the pipes. Also the heating effects of the pipes will reduce the cable's current carrying capacity.

*well it is but the regulations are quite tricky to comply with.
