C-Cap Chimney Cap - Any good?

Hi all,

I hope this is the correct forum to be asking this.

I have three chimney's that are no longer used, and the fireplaces have been closed. I am looking to cap the chimney's so that no rain/birds etc can get in but keep an air flow. I have been looking at buying C-Cap chimney caps here and was wondering if anyone has used this type before and/or if they are any good? They seem to tick all the boxes for what I need and the price is right.

well they look like they are made for the purpose but they also look like plastic and a 5 year guarantee is not long you can get clay terracotta vents that will last 100 yrs for £30 each

Hansons / heidelberg (whatever they're called these days) do something similar.
