C25 concrete mixes

For my C25 foundation mix I'm planning on a 1:5 ratio of cement to ballast. Am I right in thinking I need two bulk/100KG bags, and therefore 15 25KG bags of cement in order to make 1 cubic metre of concrete?

The reason I ask is that at the prices I get from my local merchant, this will cost me 35+35+40 per cube, whereas my local ready-mix will do it for me at £87 per cube plus £20 delivery.

I like the sound of not hand mixing 4 cubic metres of concrete!

If you've got 4m³ to do and can pour straight in @ £87 /m³ it's a no brainer in my eyes. You know it makes sense garyo

My thoughts exactly. It may actually save me money, regardless of taking into account the value of my time, chiropractors fees etc.

It's a front extension, so it should be a simple case of reversing up and turning on the taps.
