Hi

I have jsut bought my first house and I have a baxi backboiler with nasty firefront in my kitchen. I would like to completely remove the firefront so that I can put some cupboards in that area.

Is this possible? If not, can a new boiler (without firefront) be installed in place of the backboiler?

Cheers

No, the firefront cannot be removed, the fire and back boiler unit are one appliance not 2 and cannot be used independently of each other. You could fit a freestanding boiler in it's place but you would be subject to the current building regs and still limited in regards to putting kitchen units in front of. Best bet would be a new system, re-sited if you really need to have units in it's place.
