Hi
New house and a couple of radiators downstairs are not working properly. Evreything else fine. Feed pipe very hot, return cold, but radiator only marginally warm at the top. They are bled and valves are (or should be) fully open. Wiggled TRV pin (to the point of pulling the thing out - but went back with no leaks) but still no good. The TRVs are pretty old and have been off for a while while house was empty. Do I just bit the bullet and change the valves? Thanks for any help!!

The pin may not be attached to the ""stopper" in the valve, so lifting the pin up may not do anything.

Remove the head and give the metal body of the TRV a thump with a piece of wood or similar. This may free the valve.

If that doesn't work, then it's time for new valves.
