Photo of the SIT valve in my profile/photo album

Its amazing what some sad people keep in their photo albums!

Others have the normal photos, dog, kids, wife and work colleagues!

God that's nothing

I have carpets (Turkish) that I've been trying to flog for ages,PCBs,boiler installs,a fan for a spacesaver, a cat (massive),another cat (mental) and assorted photos of kids (mine), wife (also mine) ,house and devestated back garden.

Take yer pick? ;)

If it’s the Capricorn with G.C, numbers 41-315-17 or 41-315-18 then I think the gas valve (½ inch Midgitrol-Maclaren UK RBB05, part number K9049, GC number 392-767) is also on quite a few of the older Glow worm boilers. You may only need the solenoid.

You may get one from a scrap yard which your registered installer could check over before he/she fits it for you, although the sooner you get a much more efficient boiler, the sooner it can start paying for it self.

I have such a valve on a floor standing Glow worm boiler that I have not got around to removing at my home, Its standing under the wall mounted condensing boiler that took over from it. Although it has not run for some time I would see if it responds to a bit of electric if you cant get one locally. My email is in my profile should you need it.

Tim

PS
I am a paid up member of the Association of Registered Gas Installers unlike Tony, who is not. ;)

If its 41-xxx-xx it won't be a back boiler.....44-xxx-xx maybe. ;)

Mind you if it is one of these two on the maclaren valves they have been obsolete a couple of years.

I dont know about you but i would not touch one of these with a barge pole and Corgi will advise the same has the fire as a asbestos rope and these should be condemned and removed by a specialist.

Talk about the blind leading the blind Argile even a so called gob full of shait should know this get yea books out you dim shait.
