Can I move my gas fire?

Help and advice!,,,,

I have a hole where my gas fire was fitted, but I would like to move it 2feet so it's centre of the wall.
Would this be possible ?
I live in a 2 bed semi, built 1980!

Any help and advice I would be very grateful

Not unless it's a "flueless" gas fire, cos it has to be connected to a chimney.
Obviously you'd need a Registered Gas Installer to actually do the move, whatever.

Sorry forgot to add I have a flue no chimney

Is it a ballanced flue fire or do you have a precast flue?

It is possible, but if i am reading this right, it is going to cost you thousands to get the works complete

I think a simple No is the order of the day.

Get a boxing built on the side of the chimney breast to centralise the fire, it will be a lot cheaper.
