Hi Folks

Is it ok to drill holes through the DPC layer to anchor some timber work. I would have thought this would compromise the DPC? We are talking quite a few holes.

Thanks in advance

Sole plates with dpc under should be mechanically fixed to
the substructure masonry

Thanks for responding Alistair.

Sorry, I'm pretty green when it comes to this so I'm a bit bamboozled by the terminology. Is the substructure masonry the foundations and what of the damp through the fixings?
