I have bought a used one of these today.

It as a made up interface connector but one wire from the set is not going anywhere!

Its a brown lead from the top left pin on the back of the radio. Anyone know what its used for?

Or better can anyone point me towards all the connections on this radio?

Thanks

Tony

There is very often a loose lead which is for a powered aerial but I think they are usually blue. You should be able to get a proper interface connector for not much money.

Thats a possibility and at least I can test to see if thats the purpose.

Peter is correct, the electric aerial connection is blue......yours is likely to be set illumination that is driven from the cars lighting circuit.
This is separate from the illumination that displays when the set is switched on.

brown usually not used (dont know why)
red +12v ignition
yellow +12v permanent
black ground
orange telephone mute lead
blue electric aerial or amplifier trigger

speakers are pretty standard, a quick google search should tell you the colours
