hi all, brought a fiesta 1.1 1993 , all is fine but will not start on a cold morning,batt has plenty of life, it has a cat convertor does this mean its fuel inject ? as ive noticed when it does start it seems the auto choke cuts in , but not when its needed i.e. stone cold, any ideas any1 ?

Try changing the engine coolant temperature sensor (E.C.T.)

You will need to remove the air filter housing to get access. A Haynes Manual will help you sort it out.

I had a problem with my 1986 rover not starting.
AA called out and recommend new rotor arm and dis cap which was changed by garage. Still trouble to start.
Wiped HT leads,new air filter and plugs still would not start at first.
Decided to change HT leads and found that they were lose connections in the dis-cap and full of water. Dryed out dis cap and with new HT leads starts every time.
