Hi All,

Quick question for you.

I have sanded back the skirting, primed and put a first coat of Dulux trade Satinwood. There are a few gaps between the floor and the skirting. The skirting is pine (me thinks) and the floor is parquet.

In most places there is no/very little gap. In a couple of areas the gap may be 2 or 3mm distance. How do I do this??

Do I caulk around all the skirting and whilst going round put more in the areas where there is a gap?

Will I need to fill these gaps first or is 2 or 3mm Ok to just use Caulk.

Which brand should I use?

As always, your help is much appreciated.

Cheers

Use more caulk where the gap is bigger.

Yes.

Caulk will be OK.

Which brand should I use?
The best quality that you can find. Not all caulk is equal, contrary to what the people selling the cheap cr*p will tell you. I used to use Mangers, which is poor compared to Nicobond.

Thanks for that Softus.

If I cant find this caulk can anyone offer any more suggestions - and where I can get it.....

Cheers

Mangers is crap compared to dog turd!...worst sundries i have ever used..their caulk (used to be the leyland one) is stiff, dry and like string to apply

(im a poet and dont know it! )

Is 'Nicobond' an Irish secret agent?
