CCTV recording software for PC

Hi all.

Just wondering if anyone has some suggestions as to the best software to use for recording composite inputs from CCTV cameras?

I dont know about the best but for today only - http://www.giveawayoftheday.com/ is offering some for free.
I dont know how good it is though

PC going to be on all the time?
Someone going to turn off the program in error?
HD big enough?

Also a PC is not made to be a CCTV recorder. PSU not up to it either in the long term.
