Hi,
A friend is planning to move.
He would like to take his current shower arm and showerhead with him and replace it with a cheaper option. From memory it was a Hansgrohe Raindance with an RRP of about a grand.
Most of the ceiling shower arms that I have seen seem to use a back nut whereas his current one has a brass fixing plate that screws to the underside of the ceiling.
From memory the 1/2"- 15mm elbow sits pretty much level with the underside of the plasterboard and there is plywood directly above the plasterboard for the screws used to hold up the fixing plate.
Fitting a new arm with a back nut isn't practical.
Can anyone recommend a new arm that is pretty cheap and uses a surface mounting plate.
If push comes to shove I might just have to recommend that he swaps the head and leaves the arm.
Many thanks
