Central heating losing pressure

Hey my central heating is losing pressure. Am I right in saying that if I turn off the flow and return valves on the boiler. This will enable me to determine if the pressure loss is on the boiler ( if it contuines to drop). Or pipework if it hold pressure.

Yes you are correct.
Re-pressurise boiler to say 1.5bar.Close iso valves and see what happens.If it drops, problem on boiler, if not problem on heating system.
Have you checked the pressure relief valve for leaks/dripping?
