Hi All,
My first post here, HNY to you all!
We are renovating our 1970s bungalow that had a warm air heating system fitted. We’ve now removed this and are going to be installing a new system boiler with tank and a central heating system. There will be a total of 15 radiators.
We’d like to use a manifold system which will be fitted in the loft. All piping will then drop down to each room/rad. We have a few questions;
Are there any recommended brands of manifolds to use? I’ve seen some posts where people have used UFH manifolds?
Manifolds should be located centrally, however, is it worth fitting two manifolds in locations central to the rads to reduce pipe runs? The ground floorspace is approx 15m x 12m.
Is there a maximum pipe run when using manifolds - again seeing varying info online?
Given that concealing the pipe work isn’t an issue, is it worth us using the largest pipe work available or should we stick to 15mm?
Thank you in advance.
