Based on the excellent FAQ section, I think this might be a motorised valve failure, but would like some advice.

System, Worcester Oil based pumped system, 12 rads, oil fired boiler, E7 water heating, with Boiler top-up. Single Pump, 2 x motorised valves, one water, one central heating. CH timer set to 24/7 on, switched by Horstmann Electronic programmable thermostat.

Each morning CH set to turn on 06.00, off 08.30. Started not coming on at 06.00. If I turn off complete system, wait 2 mins and restart, all works OK.

Water boost always comes on straight away, so surely it must be motorised valve for C/H?

Any other thoughts/advice gratefully accepted.

Thanks

when it fails to come on either try giving it a tap maybe a sticky spindle.
or check it's get 230v on the brown from the room stat.
also check the lever on the end has it resistance or is it floppy maybe operating but not quite making the m/switch due to stiff spindle.
