Have a new Worcester Greenstar Ri RSF gas fired condensing boiler fitted 2008. have small microbeeding pipes and old radiators couldn't afford to change whole system only boiler. Boiler bangs when heating on altho engineer has fitted a bypass pipe to try resolve the problem. He came back in April as ch wouldn't turn off properly found out was faulty valve. While he was here he changed the way the water flowed through pipes via a small bypass pipe and put some sort of silver junction box on as well. fired up ch yesterday after having to put water on as ch wouldn't fire on it's own. banged abit and then radiator was instantly hot within minute of been turned on, didn't think the water flowed that quickly to radiators!! today turned ch on and didn't fire up again had to increase thermostat to get it going and then turned it down straight away and the ch was still on. radiators were redhot and nearly burnt mysself also water was piping hot. had to turn off water and boiler to reset boiler as green light wouldn't go off!! please help my engineer away on hols for 2 wks and we off on hols weekend
