central heating stopped working

Hi can anyone help me My WICKES 40 central heating boiler as stopped working , pilot light is on & thermostat light is on, the timer is set to on , it just wont fire up for some reason , If anyone can help me get going again . thanks

Boiler fault diagnosis is based on doing tests and not guesses!

Thats why you will probably need a reg boiler engineer!

From memory those Wickes (Halstead) boilers are pretty simple, my mate had a Wickes 50 in his house.

Balanced flue, permanent pilot and cast iron hex. No fan. APS or other gizmo's! If pilot is lit then i'd hazard a guess boiler either isn't getting call to fire, or if it is, then as Andy said, pump is goosed so its cut out as up to temp.
