I have a sealed central heating system powered by a combi boiler and recently moved two raditors to new positions.

We just re-used the existing thermostats for the raditors.

However, we are now getting a hammering noise fro the two thermostats (not all the time) which goes away when we turn the thermostat slightly. I think its called pipe hammer and has something to do with the values and flow of water?

anyone any idea?

Not all thermostatic radiator valves (TRV's) have a bi-directional flow capability, so should be connected in the flow to the radiator. Are yours connected in the return from the radiators?
