timer usualy near boiler, stat usualy in lounge

Thanks for the answer,on my CH system the timer and thermostat are one unit which is situated right next to the boiler down in the cellar and consequently in an area of 18 degrees C.Am I right in thinking that this will affect the proper function of the instrument and cancel out the night time setting of say 15 degrees C?
Thanks

a hall way is normally good....neck high...not above a rad.

this should provide it with a good spot to read the house temp and control the c/h accorsingly.

ur stat will be working from reading temp in the cellar...and consequently the house and still the stat wont cut out as its colder in the cellar.

get a wireless on. a bit more expansive but evened out by the lack of having to chase out for wires etc
