Had a brand new CH system installed 3 mths ago. The installed rad with no thermostat is in the hall, thermostat & timer is 52" away on same wall.
Problem is the hall has rooms either side & is smaller than the living room which has 2 outside walls (insulated). Hall heats up quicker. When thermostat cuts out l/room is hot but cools faster than the hall, leaving l/room cool.

Any ideas on how to equalise rooms/hall.

Turn the radiator in the hall off. Or move the thermostat into the area where you live.
I've never understood putting thermostats in hallways. I don't sit in the hall.

just move your stat in to the lounge, if you want to conform to the regs you should also remove a TRV sensor head in the same room but I wouldnt bother it will be fine
