Changing immersion heater element - no space

Hi all

This is a very basic question, I’m looking to get my immersion heater elements swapped, as they barely work, I suspect crusted with Limescale being in London.

The tank seems to be facing the wrong way, so it’s not actually possible to access them from the front like in most videos.

Would the plumber need to remove this entire tank to replace them? Is it even worth it, or should I just replace the whole thing, if they are removing it anyway.

Not sure why you have x2 at the bottom, might be why they’re not delivery’s hot water. It certainly looks tight, but if you measure from the immersion to wall, they might just slide in and out.

Depressurise, drain, unhook everything and twist it 90deg. Real muppet installer, whoever they were.

Are they both immersion heaters - could one be a thermostat for the hot water?
Looks like both are, cylinder thermostat’s are usually smaller, happy to be proven otherwise by photo from OP.

Depending on what is in the room behind the wall it might be possible to create an access through a hole in the wall. The immersion heater can then be replaced though the hole

Green being a removable plug in the hole.

Difficult to work out from Photo, but should be an 11" Immersion in the side, so may just be enough room to get it out with a bit of careful angling. Try removing the stat first, (power off obviously!), if that comes out without too much difficulty, then you stand a chance with the rest.
