I have a gas fire and a chimney and I need to put a cap on the chimney as I can hear water getting in.

Do I need a specific cap for my specific chimney or can you get ones that fit all?

If I get someone to fit it, how much am I looking at?

1. All chimney stacks with a gas fire flue should have a gas terminal.
2. the insert terminal is the simplest to install.
3. no gas terminal raises the question about how the gas fire was installed and if the appropriate flue checks - smoke test, chimney sweep - were taken.
4. Dont allow anyone on your roof unless they use a roof ladder.
5. cost to supply and fix an insert £50 - £80.
