chimney construction from blocks?

Hello.

I have had extension walls built with a chimney and this is how it looks:

My question is, is it ok build from blocks and then use brick slips?

It is not a full chimney, the height will be like this with flue:

Yes it's OK, as the flue is the important bit. But check with the flue manufacturer for how to fill between the flue and chimney
