Can anyone help me with a problem with a build up of old polish and general grime on a dining room table top. It is a dark mahogany venire. I realize that after hours of trying to polish it out that some cleaning agent is required, so can anyone tell me what it best to use and how to use it.

You could try a product that removes excess oil/wax

Hi John Thanks for the reply, I wouldn't know the process, but it is not an expensive solid wood table, it is veneer. I would imagine it is some kind of factory treatment
