Clear Masonary Sealer

Hi,

Can any one tell me of a good quality masonary damp sealer. I am currently renovating my cellar and would like to seal the stone walls to stop moisture coming through. I am very keen to preserve the natural stone so I need the sealer to be clear.

G4? (as in pond sealant) but my question is would that not be solving the problem not the cause?

You can buy a clear floor paint...but whats its damp proofing qualities are like I dont know.

You WILL NOT be able to seal the damp IN successfully You might find a microporous coating that will stabilise the natural friability of the stone Otherwise leave well alone and well ventilated.
