There is a visual difference between co-ax and satellite cable, but can I use either for either TV or satellite? Is one better than the other?

You can use satellite cable for both TV and satellite.
You can only use co-ax for TV

Sat cable also comes in different qualities.

You should put in the best quality cable you can afford.

With the advent of digital TV many people now fit sat cable as standard.

I think satellite cable is made so that it is good enough to carry signals about at around 1450MHz (lower loss, better shielding), so it is better quality and the performance for TV signals (474 - 858 MHz) will be better at those frequencies.

Thanks for that, I'm putting in cable while I dry-line, so Sat cable it is to future proof it.
