the ones with the numbers on them apart from the livingroom and bathroom coz there are them fancy radiators. them big long silver ones. and them ones have got taps on the botom of them.

So TRVs on one side of the radiators.
Can you remove the lockshield covers on the other end of the radiators (either by pulling them off or by removing a small screw, depending on the make) and open them up with a pair of pliers? Might as well exhaust the simple things before moving onto how to remove an airlock. Also, what make/model combi is it?
 
methinks the pins might well be stuck dex ;)
Possible kev, but on all of them? :confused: Also, still struggling to understand why closing the one that does emit heat causes a pressure drop and require re-pressurising of the system.

So I'm sort of back with the idea of a largish airlock in the flow, and the local rad acting as a bypass, but the other rads being able to be bled via a clear run on the return.

If this is the case, then not entirely sure how to explain how to remove it in a way that is understandable.

Careful, the op may write on your comment board again ;) Although I must admit that the first post the op ever wrote (seen via the profile) does seem to indicate a curious transition from correct grammar into this pigeon English.
