Cold Water Loft Tank

Just in the process of fitting a new pumped shower and whilst isolating the 22mm feed to the pump I noticed that the feed to the hot water cylinder is only 15mm. Should this be changed to 22mm ?

The fitting into the hot tank appears to be 15mm, can I run 22mm up to the tank and then use a reducer or do I need to change the tank fitting (which will be a right pain)

easier to cap 15mm connection and make a new 22mm one
