Any tips on this problem would be really appreciated.
Cold tap worked fine around 8am but then since late morning nothing.
Washing machine obviously won't fill either but all other taps work in house.
The kitchen one is a mixer and hot comes through but no cold. We have a combi boiler so I am assuming it's nothing to do with that and it's a pipe/tap issue only. Will it be to do with weather? Thanks in advance.

Sounds like another frozen water service....im gussing your cold kitchen tap comes directly off the mains, and all your other taps are tank fed,if so that is most likely to be the problem, but bear in mind if this is the case then at some stage your tanks will become empty to check this, go into your atic and push down on the ball valve in the cold water tank if no water comes out that will be the problem...good luck

Cheers mate, thanks for the reply. Looked like it was a frozen section of the pipe when I delved in. Nearly all the piping is internal and walled off so it was looking like a nightmare. Got someone to look at it and he reckoned I would have to sit it out and wait for a thaw. However, strangely, after running a bath upstairs the bloody kitchen tap came on! Stumped on that one but thanks anyway.

Strange put entirely possible! If hot and cold pipes run together through a void, drawing off hot water can put enough heat into the void to thaw out the cold pipe. Could benefit you to ascertain where that might be though, if it freezes again there's a possibility it could burst. (Prevention being better than cure.)
