have a sime 90 combi boiler around 9yrs old ,hot water not very warm,but if you put heating on 5mins before running tap then the water is ok unless you run tap flat out which i would suspect is normal due to incoming water temp goes without saying no problem in summer.the hot water control on boiler is full up .many thanks

Hi it sound like the diverter valve is passing through when on water only, try it , put it on and feel the flow pipe to the heating pipework as its coming out of the boiler, it should not get hot at all, only when calling for heat after the water has been turned off, these are quite easy to change,, there are 2 parts to the valve 1 with the domestic diaphram in and the other part with washers and springs inside that blocks off the heating port
